Graduation Ceremony
  
The  Vernonia  School  District  is  planning  a  graduation  ceremony  for 
Vernonia  High  School  seniors  on  Friday,  May  29  at  7:00  pm.    This  will  be  a 
ticketed event, held outdoors in the parking lots and stadium, and is designed to 
honor  graduates  and  their 
families  while  adhering  to 
physical  distancing  rules. 
Grads  will  each  be  called 
from the parking lot to walk 
to  the  stadium  in  cap  and 
gown with up to two family 
members  and  receive  their 
diplomas.  The  ceremony 
will be followed by a vehicle 
procession through town.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the General Election will be
held on the 3 rd day of November 2020, at which time the
legal voters of the City of Vernonia will be entitled to vote for
candidates to certain city offices.

COMMISSION
The  Planning  Commission  shall 
control  the  subdivision  of  and  may  make 
recommendations to the City Council, to the 
public officials, and to individuals regarding 
land  use;  location  of  thoroughfares,  public 
buildings,  parks  and  other  public  facilities; 
and,  regarding  any  other  matter  relating  to 
the planning and development of the City and 
the  surrounding  area.   The  commission  may 
authorize and supervise studies, hold hearings, 
and prepare reports and recommendations on
its own initiative or at the request of the City
