Dana Hyde and Jana Titus, two
Vernonia School District employees, are
again seeking contributions for the Sister’s
Memorial Scholarship, to be given to de-
serving Vernonia High School graduating
seniors this spring.
The Sister’s Memorial Scholar-
ship was started in 2014 and honors Hyde’s
sister Sheri Wilson and Titus’s sister Kari
Titus, who both lost battles with cancer.
This year the scholarship is start-
ing what they hope will be a new tradition
with the Sister’s Memorial Fun Run, a 5k
walk/run and 10k run, on June 6, 2020.
The run is being organized by VHS junior
Jenna Handgard (right) for her senior proj-
ect next year.
To support the Sister’s Memorial
Scholarship and this year’s Fun Run, send
checks to Vernonia High School, c/o Dana
