Karen was born in Los Angeles, California on October 8, 1963. Karen was raised by Kathy Denckla and Frazier Rohm since the age of seven. The family resided in Scholls, Oregon until moving to Vernonia in 1977. Karen attended school in Vernonia graduating from Vernonia High School in 1982. It was the summer of 1984, Karen was scouting out the butts of local baseball players in John Day, Oregon. She picked out the cutest butt, Earl Davis. That is how their love story began! They married on February 22, 1986. They moved to Vernonia in 1988. Karen and Earl have three boys Eric, Cody, and Nathan. Over the years Karen wore many hats. She started her working years in food service. She also was a secretary, flagged traffic, and she ran a construction roller. One of her favorite jobs was being a school bus driver. Karen loved to roller skate and she was pretty good back in the day. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Karen was quite the cook; she could make something out of nothing and it would be an amazing dish. One of her favorite pastimes was lounging in a lawn chair soaking up the sun while wearing her favorite pair of flip-flops. Karen loved spending time with family and friends; she especially loved hanging out with her only granddaughter Piper. Anyone who knew Karen “Missy” knew she was the life of the party. She loved to laugh and she was quite the jokester. Her laugh was infectious. She didn’t care if you were laughing at her or with her; although many times it was at her, because she was hilarious. Many remember Karen from a hand gesture or being flashed. These were a couple of her signature moves. She will be missed by many! Karen and Earl would have celebrated 32 years of marriage in February. Karen is remembered through her husband Earl Davis; three sons, Eric Davis, Cody Davis, and Nathan Davis; granddaughter Piper Davis; several brothers, Joe Brewer, Angelo Brewer, Tiger Rohm, William Rohm; several sisters, Lisa Rohm, Mary Denckla, and Jennifer Denckla. She was preceded in death by her fathers, Frazier Rohm and Joseph Brewer. A Celebration of Life is planned for July 6, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
