in other words february1 2018 13 Your Horoscope for February 2018 By Stacey Lynn Are you confused and not sure of your next move? Don’t stress, this is a strange month of nothing occurring in a straight line. Aquarius (January 20-February 18) You breathe a deep sigh of relief that lasts the whole month. Things are definitely moving at lightning speed - just the way you like it - but gone is the inner conflict that accompanies you whenever you break through bar- riers. The 13th-15th are powerful days for you, rest at month’s end. Pisces (February 19-March 20) Your inner transmit- ter is out of whack. At least that’s your immediate conclusion when you see that the messages emerg- ing from your subconscious are full of practical plans and list upon list. Could this be a healthy convergence of visions and reality? The 2nd and 3rd may be chal- lenging, but the 16th and 17th rock! Aries (March 21-April 19) It’s truly a month to follow those intangible feelings. Never mind that life looks as if it is completely surrounded in a thick fog. Re- member, you are rarely galvanized by what you see externally. Your actions reflect an inner knowing. The 18th, 19th and 20th are your rewarding days of the month. Taurus (April 20-May 21) Your number one ques- tion right now is: Did things lighten up or is life slowly evaporating? It’s probably a little of both. The secret to managing what feels like a large amount of uncer- tainty is to know you have done what you can. The 6th and 7th may be a little rough, but the 21st and 22nd should be good days. VHS Winter Sports “I have no doubt this team could compete in the final eight at the State Tournament,” said Weller. “But we’re running out of time and I’m not sure we’re going to be ready by tournament time.” The Loggers travel to Gaston on February 3 and have home games against Life Chris- tian on February 6 and Delphian on February 8. The District Tour- nament will take place on Febru- ary 15 and 17, with the first round of the State Tournament sched- uled for February 23-24. Girls Basketball – The Lady Loggers sit solidly in third place in the Northwest League with a 9-3 record after defeating Colum- Gemini (May 22-June 20) Things are finding their way into the right places in your life without much outward effort on your part. Instead of resting on your laurels, take time to reflect on the gift of receiv- ing these blessings and find a way to pay it forward. The 11th and 12th may be challenging, but the 23rd and 24th are your strong days. Scorpio (October 22-November 21) Everything unfolds in slow motion around you, leaving you dis- oriented and cranky. Look inward instead and let your intense need to live at extremes express itself on a deep personal level by engaging in some inner housecleaning. Leave the world to itself. Most chal- lenging on the 21st and 22nd. Cancer (June 21-July 22) A time for a little ebb in your life. Whatever you set in motion last month is purring right along. You have done the heavy lifting. Rest, relax, recharge and rejuvenate. Otherwise you will be unable to act on new opportunities coming your way. The 25th and 26th are perfect for a small celebration. Sagittarius (November 22-December 21) You’re definitely looking for someplace - any place - to go. Yet all that energy is consumed in a bog of infinite possibilities, immobilizing you and amplifying your impatience. Get physically active. That will clear your circuits. The 8th-10th are your best days, the 23rd and 24th, not so much. Leo (July 23-August 22) You feel light as a feather and ready to rush back into life with formidable focus. What’s paved the way for this transformation is the recognition that you don’t have to lead everyone else out of the swamp, just you. The 1st as well as the 27th and 28th are strong days for you, while the 13th- 15th are more challenging. Capricorn (December 22-January 19) Things are happening so fast that you’re having trouble keep- ing up. Tap into that well of confidence you built last month and all will be well. Remember, you created this momentum. Enjoy the ride. You can handle it. Rewarding days occur the 11th and 12th while chal- lenging days are the 25th and 26th. Virgo (August 23-September 22) You may wonder if the whole world has gone on vaca- tion because you can’t get any real answers out of anyone, leaving you to spin in circles with no real sense of direction. Do what you need to do and ignore the rest. The 16th and 17th may be a challenge, but the beginning of the month is good for your business. Libra (September 23-October 21) What you experience this month goes beyond stress into uncharted territory. Nothing seems real and yet everywhere you look things are screwed up. Your only option is to live with it until it dissi- pates and you find yourself on terra firma again. The 4th and 5th are the better of the days of the month for you. continued from page 10 bia Christian 44-19 on January 30. The Lady Loggers have now won three straight games, with a 34-32 win over Knappa and a 33- 28 victory over Neah-Kah-Nie. Head coach Jim Krahn says the Lady Loggers’ biggest enemy has been the flu, with sev- eral starters missing significant practice and game time through- out the season. Krahn says freshman Jayden Hartman has really stepped in and played well. “She’s really improved and scored 12 and 11 points for us and has been our leading rebounder as well,” says Krahn. “She’s not the tallest play- er but she just keeps hustling.” Krahn says the team’s free throw shooting has improved. Krahn says Joyce Everett continues to play well and some of his younger players continue to improve, including sopho- mores Jordan Walters and Lauren Ely. Foreign exchange student Vanessa Wollny has stepped up and rebounded and played well, and added depth in the post. Krahn says he is looking to add a game to the schedule at the end of the season as they look towards the District Tournament on February 15 and 17 because scheduled league opponents Life Christian and Delphian do not have varsity squads this season.
