They’re the ones that create our itinerary, lead our discussions, and help start up our vari- ous assignments. One project that PBL has been responsible for is the painting of the big gym floor. This project was led by Clay Sullivan, and his crew of Gaven Everett, Andrew Vazquez, and Courtney Barklow. Sullivan took it upon himself to create a GoFundMe account, which dramatically helped him fulfill his mon- etary goal of $2,350. Various companies sponsored the floor painting, but three companies donated above and beyond what we could hope for. A BIG thank you to the following: Absolute Marble, Eveready Welding, and the All In Pub & Eatery. Sullivan contacted Phenom Flooring, and they got the job done, and did it well. Another project that PBL has taken on is the Ac- tivities Mural. If you enter the school through the athlet- ic entrance, then you’ll see a mural of various athletics and clubs that you can join at Ver- nonia High. Depicted in the mural are the following: golf, track, cross country, baseball, basketball, cheerleading, band, volleyball, wrestling, football, robotics, and eques- trian. MacKenzie Fassold and Izzy Admire were the co- chairs of this project. They purchased the paint, made up the designs, and told everyone where to stick their paintbrush. The mural took about a month and a half to finish, and Fassold and her crew of Al- ura Byler, Kendra Stefan, Lily Buchan- an, Alexa Cook, myself, and so many more worked tirelessly to make the mu- ral something that VHS could be proud of. All in all, PBL is responsible for so many things that you see around Ver- nonia Schools. PBL put on Unity Week last year, and we hope to bring it back again this year. We want to leave a last- ing impression of perseverance, respect, and consistency on the underclassmen and future PBL students.
