4 letters to the editor/community bulletin board october5 2017 Readers Lend Their Voices... To the Editor, Columbia, Clatsop and Tilla- mook Counties are truly fortunate to have a powerful and compassionate advocate in Senator Betsy Johnson. Because of her tireless commitment to meet our needs, Oregon lawmakers made decisions that protect and provide resources for our most vulnerable neighbors. Commu- nity Action Team (CAT) staff and board members wish to express deep gratitude to Senator Johnson for asking the hard questions, seeking our input regarding community needs, and for carrying that information to the legislative arena. Sen- ator, please accept our many thanks for your unshakable loyalty in serving all of us. My name is Rupert. I am a 6 lb. neutered male Chihuahua, I am tan with black and I’m the cutest dog in the shelter at the moment. I came to this shelter via the Wings of Rescue. I love other dogs and really like to play with them, but I can be very shy when I meet new people. I just need someone who is willing to take a chance on me and give me a try. CHS is very dedicated to their animals and want to be sure that they are making the best fit possible when it comes to their adoptions. Due to this reason our kennels are no longer open for public walk through. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we are willing to either have you fill out an application at the shelter, or we will email you one and you can send it back. Once your application has been reviewed we will then sit down and talk with you to determine the best match of animal for both your family and for our pets. We want our placements to be successful, and the best they can be. We want to set our adopters up for success as well as our pets.
