In Memory of...
Kermit Fisher
Kermit lived in St.
Johns, N. Portland and went to
school there where he met his
wife Geneieve Neve whom he
married. They had two chil-
dren, Joyce “Joy Williams” and
Roy.
Kermit and Jenny were
married fifty-two years until her
death. They had five grandchil-
dren and seven great grandchil-
dren.
Kermit worked at
Bell Telephone Co. for sixteen
years in Portland and com-
muted from the family home
in Scappoose. During this time
Kermit was also logging part-
time and he was getting tired
of the office work, suits, white
shirts and commuting. He then
started logging full-time as an
independent. He had worked in
Scappoose, Vernonia, Estacada,
Ashland and Gaston. In those
communities and among log-
gers he had many friends. Ker-
mit logged for forty years until
his 75th birth date. He was an
avid hunter, he played guitar
and sang, he enjoyed cards and
he loved to dance with his wife
Jenny.
Kermit passed on qui-
etly in his home after a short ill-
ness in his daughter’s care.

knew his humor and fun lov-
ing friendship will share sto-
