Barnes had high praise for sever-
al wrestlers who continue to show up for
practice and workouts even though they
most likely will not wrestle at the District
Tournament, (the team can only enter
two wrestlers in each weight class) men-
tioning Kathy Will, Tessa Bomke, Katie
Goodman, and Austin Sicard.
The top two fi nishers at the
District Tournament advance to the State
Tournament on February 24-25.
“Just Vernonia Girls” Win
Basketball Tournament
The Just Vernonia Junior High Girls Basketball tournament team,
coached by Bob Zavales, Stacy Adams, and Melissa Zavales, won their
division at a tournament in Kelso/Longview. The girls are wearing the
T-shirts they received for winning.
