Following graduation, she hopes to become a second grade teacher. Her speech during the con- test, titled “For the Love of Milk,” discussed the variety of health ben- efi ts found in dairy products and the journey of milk from farm to table. Single spent two days in in- terviews, performing impromptu speeches, and interacting with the three judges, before she was select- ed for this honor. Single is looking forward to a busy year informing and edu- cating the public about the dairy industry. She will spend the next twelve months traveling statewide attending fairs, town meetings and public events as a representative of Oregon’s dairy farmers.
