What he taught often was that if it was fast and easy, it was most likely not good or at best, un- sustainable. He’s taught me that it is ok to want more. But if you do, you can’t be afraid of a little dirt on your shoes or paint in your hair. There nothing more rewarding than a job well done. It will give you a sense of self worth that no- body can give or take from you. My father is a man I trust. He believes strongly in family, community, and honesty. Parenting: This is one of the most important and hardest things most do in life. I have met Wayne’s children and all are independent and contributing in their own way as good citizens of America. I have known Wayne since 2001 when our sons played football together. I also have a younger son who was in the same grade at school as one of Wayne’s sons. Parenting is largely by example and this reflects well on Wayne. 2. County Commissioner: Wayne has lived & worked in Columbia County since 1959 and knows it well. Wayne has now reached a point in life where he could & wants to put more energy into contributing to his com- munity. The political discourse these days reflects a very broad dissatisfac- tion with how ineffective government is. Believing all politics is local, and that he could help, Wayne wants to bring the same high level of energy & enthusiasm he brings to all of his en- deavors, to the County Commissioner Position #1 Marie Krahn october20 Contract Logging 503-324-2422 Free Estimates Timber Purchases Timber Management Oregon Professional Logger certified since 1996 Owned and Operated by Don & Kim Wallace DON WALLACE, PLS Professional Land Surveying 1224 E.
