William H. “Bill” Uerling
S.  Uerling  of  Birkenfeld,  Oregon;  John 
C.E.  Uerling  of  Portland,  Oregon  and 
Samantha  B.  Uerling  of  Birkenfeld, 
Oregon; his four sisters, Carol, Dorothy, 
Betty, and Louise.
 
Also  surviving  are  his  11 
grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews.
 
The  family  suggests  that 
remembrances  may  be  contributions  to

William  Henry  “Bill”  Uerling 
was  born  on  September  27,  1943  in 
Toppenish,  Washington,  the  son  of  the 
late William Mathew and Christina May 
(Foster)  Uerling.  He  was  raised  and 
received his education in the Toppenish, 
Washington community.
 
Bill was a Veteran of the Vietnam 
War.  He  served  for  one  enlistment  until 
receiving his Honorable Discharge.

grandchildren, Rebecca Holce, Courtney 
Holce,  Wilfred  Holce,  Chris  “Bubba” 
Rhine,  Kristie  Wood,  Bethany  Wood, 
Tyler  Wolf  and  Trevor  Wolf  and  her 
niece, Tess Johnson.
 
The  family  suggests  that 
remembrances  may  be  contributions  to 
A.L.S.  Association  of  Oregon  and  S.W. 
Washington, 700 N.E. Multnomah Street, 
Suite  1180,  Portland,  Oregon  97232,  in 
her memory.

Home  in  Forest  Grove  is  entrusted  with 
the arrangements.
Vernonia Federal Credit Union, later as a 
paralegal  for  Bump, Young  and  Walker, 
Attorneys  in  Forest  Grove  for  thirteen 
years.  She  later  worked  as  a  cashier  for 
Safeway  and  QFC  for  seventeen  years, 
until she retired at the age of sixty-two.
 
She  had  served  as  a  Union 
Executive Board Member for the UFCW 
Union Local #555 in Tigard, Oregon, as 
well as on the bargaining committee.
 
Among  her  special  interests  she 
enjoyed  traveling,  beach  time,  baseball 
and spending time with her grandchildren.
 
Ann  was  also  preceded  in 
death by her parents, James and Mickey 
Johnson.
 
Survivors  include  her  husband, 
Bill Lilley of the family home in Hillsboro, 
Oregon;  her  son  and  daughter-in-law, 
Greg and Kim Holce of Justin, Texas; her 
daughter, Traci  Holce-Wolf  of Vernonia, 
Columbus Day
