community The Dog Park is Open! Eric Urban has opened The Dog Park again this summer. The Dog Park is Urban’s hot dog cart and is located on Bridge Street across from Spencer Park, in the parking lot where the Senior Center was previously located. He is there on Wednesdays through Fridays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and at the Open Air Market on condiments including several mustards, Saturdays from 10-2. Urban is selling his all-beef chopped onions, relish, jalapeño peppers hotdogs for $2 and offers a variety of and ketchup. He also has drinks for sale. Vernonia’s Creekside Adult Foster Home, LLC Vicki Perry Lonnie Perry july16 2015 Baseball Boys Go to State The Vernonia Boys Midget Baseball Team competed at the state tournament on July 9 th . The team finished their regular season in second place in their Westside Youth Baseball Midget National League bracket with a 10-2 record, then placed second in the county playoffs on June 27-28, which advanced them to the state playoffs. Coached by Jason Busch, Chris Wolf and Robert Bentley, the team played two games at state at Mooberry Elementary School in Hillsboro, but lost to Putnam and Mill 9 City, and were eliminated from the tournament. The team earned the praise of their fans for representing Vernonia during their amazing season, demon- strating great potential, sportsmanship and baseball skills.
