letters to the editor/city news july3 2014 Vernonia Police Blotter June 9-29, 2014 ARRESTS/REPORTS TAKEN • June 9, 2014 – Police responded to a report of a Domestic Disturbance in the 17000 Block of Noakes Rd. (Ongoing Investigation) • June 18, 2014 – Police responded to a report of a Domestic in Progress in the 400 Block of A St. As a result, arrests were made for Domestic – Menacing and other charges. • June 18, 2014 – Police responded to a report of “Found Drug Paraphernalia” in the 400 Block of A. St. The item was taken for destruction. • June 25, 2014 – Police responded to a report of a Domestic Disturbance and Violation of a No Contact Order in the 400 Block of A St. Suspect was gone upon arrival. Report will be forwarded to the DA’s Office for review. • June 29, 2014 – Police responded to a report of a Violation of a No Contact Order in the 400 Block of A St. Arrest was made and suspect transported to the Columbia County Jail, where they were booked and lodged. TRAFFIC/OTHER • June 17, 2014 – Issued traffic citations for No Operator’s License, Driving Uninsured, and Illegal Display on State Ave. near C St. Readers Lend Their Voices...
