He dem- onstrates His wonderful grace and mercy toward all people. He requires that we admit our sins and seek His forgiveness. “But if we confess our sins to God, he can always be trusted to forgive us and take our sins away.” I John 1:9 (CEV). Life is a test we all must take. Sometimes the lessons we face are tough and we don’t pass the first or second time. Some problems prove to be much more difficult to overcome, but God will not abandon us in our journey to become like Christ. Paul reminds us in Philippi- ans 1:6, “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” Never give up in your struggle to overcome your fail- ures. The Good Shepherd is always with us and the Holy Spirit is ever present to help when we listen to His voice. Keep in mind that everyone who claims to be a Christian faces this challenge. Take heart and be encour- aged that a crown of righteousness awaits those who put their faith in Je- sus Christ and sincerely strive every day to be more like the Master. County.
