schools 2012 2012 VHS Fall Sports Awards It was a good season for Logger Fall Sports, filled with some gritty performances and a few surprises. Samantha Lindauer was the seasons biggest surprise as she tried out for cross country for the first time. A sixth place finish at the District Meet earned Lindauer a trip to the State Meet where she finished a very respectable 19 th out of 109 runners. Lindauer was named First Team All District and Team MVP for the Girls. Senior Nathan Fleck ended his career with a Second Team All District Award and Team MVP for the Boys. The Loggers football team brought home several All League Honors after finishing Boosters Buzz Vernonia Youth Basketball will be hosting their annual “Kick Off the Season” tournament on Saturday, January 5th, 2013, for the 5/6 grade boys and girls. It will be held at the new Vernonia School facility. Please stop by ad support our youth and cheer them on! their season with a 3-4 record. The First Team All League award winners were T-John Wolf , Dawson Shay and Alex Budde. Second Team award winners were Austin Cutright, Jake Titus, and Damian Young. Wolf was also named the team’s Most Valuable Player In volleyball the Lady Loggers made their second straight trip to the State Playoffs. Senior Sara McMahon was named the League Most Valuable Player, First Team All League Middle Blocker and Team MVP. Stepahanie Castro and Taylor Titus were both named Second Team All League. Logger Head Coach Teresa Williams was named League Coach of the Year. Someone has been breaking into and stealing candy and soda from the Snack Shack. These items help fund programs and activities for our youth. The losses from these crimes reduce the Boosters ability to serve our community. Please help stop these senseless activities that negate the hard work of our volunteers. Next Meeting is December 12 at the Vernonia Library.
