welcome from the editor There has been a lot of excitement around Vernonia during the last few weeks as both our high schools boys and girls basketball teams qualified for the league playoffs in what will be the last season of games in the historic Logger Dome. The Boys team took it a step further, bringing home the league title, winning a first round state playoff game and earning a trip to the final eight in Pendleton. The Logger Wrestlers also added to the excitement around town as they brought home their second team District Championship in three years, including three individual champions, and qualified five wrestlers for the State Tournament on February 24-25 where four Loggers medaled. It’s a good time to be a Logger!
