ELAINE (DELORES) BARBER JAMES was born March 24, 1925 in Hillsboro, Oregon, the daughter of the late Dale and Myrtle (Alldread) Barber. She was raised and received her education in the Hillsboro community having been a graduate of Hillsboro Union High School Class of 1943. Following her graduation, Elaine worked for Stimson Lumber Company, then for an attorney’s office in Hillsboro. Elaine was united in marriage to Wilfred “Bill” Earl James on October 22, 1949 in Hillsboro, Oregon. They celebrated their sixty second wedding anniversary this last October.
