Events Calendar
Vernonia Open Air Market - Every Friday from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
The market, formerly held in the courtyard of the Community Learning Center, has
moved out to the street. It is still looking for a permanent location, but it will be part of
the First Friday celebrations on Madison Avenue. The Open Air Market features hand-
made crafts, prepared food items, baked goods, and fresh produce. The vendors are
all local and are trying to provide an opportunity for Vernonia residents to buy and
shop in downtown Vernonia with and from their friends and neighbors. Stop by next
Friday afternoon and “Shop Vernonia.” Look for it along Bridge Street.
If you would like more information about the Open Air Market or would like to join as a
vendor, contact Scott Laird at 503- 367-0098.
