(Below) 03 Events Calendar Vernonia Open Air Market - Every Friday from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. The market, formerly held in the courtyard of the Community Learning Center, has moved out to the street. It is still looking for a permanent location, but it will be part of the First Friday celebrations on Madison Avenue. The Open Air Market features hand- made crafts, prepared food items, baked goods, and fresh produce. The vendors are all local and are trying to provide an opportunity for Vernonia residents to buy and shop in downtown Vernonia with and from their friends and neighbors. Stop by next Friday afternoon and “Shop Vernonia.” Look for it along Bridge Street.
