Malbin, Stroup named to Prevailing Wage Advisory panel Norman Malbin, general counsel of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 48, has been reappointed co-chair of the Oregon Prevailing Wage Advisory Committee (PWAC) by Oregon Labor Commis- sioner Brad Avakian. Avakian also tapped Ken Stroup of the Pacific Northwest Regional Coun- cil of Carpenters to a seat on the com- mittee, which includes an equal num- ber of representatives from manage- ment and labor in the building and construction industry who advise the Bureau of Labor and Industries on matters regarding the prevailing wage rate laws that apply to public con- struction projects. Reappointed co-chair with Malbin is Shawn Miller of the Associated Builders and Contractors and Inde- pendent Electrical Contractors of Ore- gon.
