Move to revitalize CLUW chapter in Portland under way A group of unionists are trying to re- vitalize a chapter of the Coalition of Labor Union Women in Oregon. A meeting is slated for Monday, Aug. 31, at 6 p.m. at the Portland of- fice of the Oregon AFL-CIO, 10 North Russell St. CLUW is a constituency group of the AFL-CIO. Its mission is to bring union women together to advocate for women’s issues, such as equal pay in the workplace, child and elder care benefits, protection from sexual ha- rassment and more. Nationally, CLUW has more than 75 chapters with mem- bers from 60 international and national unions.
