What they like about their job: Enjoys interacting with the students. Why she chose this job: Volunteered at her kids' elementary schools, making her want to work in the office. Hardest part of their job: "It's hard to juggle a bunch of things at one time. There's so much to do with so little time." She described the difference between planning short stories or stories that required many background research. Questions were taken after she had finished her reading. A sample question was whether or not she would continue writing. With a laugh, she replied, "Honey, I'm 81." Other questions and answers were met with laughter brought up the spirit and happiness to the otherwise quiet crowd. Name: Jerolyn Alie Title: Bookkeeper What the job is about: Organizes all of the accounts for students, sports teams, fund-raising groups and other activities. Years at WLHS: 4 What they like about their job: "I love this school. The students and staff are so talented." Hardest part of their job: The delicate matter of telling people that they owe ||. money. What they enjoy during free time: "In my free time, I enjoy keeping up with my daughter, 11, and son, 13, who are involved in football, basketball, wrestling, lacrosse, softball, Irish dance and band." Years at WLHS: 25 What they like about their job: "The best part is definitely that it changes all the time. We always have new and healthy recipes to try out for the kids." Around 8 p.m, Le Guin departed followed by a large wave of applause. Born in 1929, Le Guin, who was born as Ursula Kroeber, grew up in Berkeley, Calif. She attended Radcliffe College and later did graduate work at Columbia University. In Paris in 1953, she married a historian, Charles A. Le Guin.
