THE AMPLIFIER Thursday, April 12,1945 Lions Lose First Pre-Season Game Lion Trackmen ; Lion Thindads Score Train for Season The West Linn track team has been unable to progress during the first few weeks of school due to bad weather but it looks as if there is going to be a break so we can see what kind of mate rial has turned out. There are quite a few out for track this year compared to last year and the hopes are high that We can do better this year than last. Coach Stone has a busy sched ule arranged this yearwith one relay meet^and seven track and field meets including the state meet in which we hope to have some entries. The meets are as follows: April 13, Behverton relays at Í Beaverton. < . April 17, dual m e e t with Gresham at Gresham. April Y20, four-way meet with Commersp, Franklin, and Lin coln. April 24, dual meet with Bea verton ql Beaverton. April 27, T. Y. V. League meet at Beaverton. May 4, district meet at Mil waukie. May 11 and 12, state meet at Corwllis. May 18, three-way meet-with ^Oregon City and Milwaukie. > The eight schools in thè T. Y. V^League are the s<yne as in the basketball league, McMinn- ’ ville, Neuberg, Hillsboro, Ti gard, Beaverton, Forest GroVe, Tillamook/Srid Wesf Linn. The schools in thq.District are: West Linn, Park Rose,Columbia Prep., Central Catholic, Gresm am, Oregon City, Milwaukie, and Canby.
