Timm, 68, of Baker City, died March 3, 2016, at St. Alphonsus hospital from complica- tions of cancer. A private family interment will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Baker City. Carol was born on September 29, 1947, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, to Richard and Violet Sche- nian. Being an only child, by the time she was 8 years old, she was expected to work in her parent’s café washing dishes and clean- ing tables. In 1964 she married Thomas Britt, and they had two children together, Kelly and Thomas. An untimely death took the life of Thomas in a motor The vehicle ac- cident and she was widowed at a very young age. Later, she mar- ried Richard Carol Timm; they Timm had one daughter Christine. Carol held several job positions in her life, after moving to Baker City in 1975. She was a Cir- cuit County Court Clerk (Bailiff) for many years. She was then an Offi ce Manager and Interim General Manager for the Sunridge and upon retiring she was working for OTEC in Baker City. She enjoyed working in her yard and making sure her garden was ready to go every spring. She also enjoyed traveling with her family. They would make weekend trips to Boise, or week long trips to Seaside, Oregon. The ocean was her most calming and relaxing spot. She just loved walk- ing the beach and watching her grandchildren play in the water. Her most memorable times were when she was with her family. She loved being a grandma and having sleepovers, cook- ing lessons, taking rides, playing games, seeing them smile and having fun. She also enjoyed being at all their sporting events, she loved watching them play and cheering them on. We as a family, will most defi nitely miss her laugh, her smile, and her feisti- ness. Her presence will be greatly missed. We would like to thank Sharon Dahlberg and our mom’s neighbors, Kathy and Lois for their love and support of our mom. Your friendship meant the world to her and to us. Survivors include her children, Kelly Caldwell, Thomas Britt, and Chris- tine Timm-Golar (Todd); her grandchildren, Thom- as, Donald, and Daniel Caldwell; Ashley Shurte; and Bradley, Brenden, Braxton and Breyton Golar. She was preceded in death by her husband Rich- ard Timm, her parents and grandparents.
