Pamela Resnik Baker City, 1948 - 2015 Pamela Resnik, “Pam,” 67, of Baker City peace- fully passed Dec. 4, Pam 2015 due Resnik to diabetes complications. Her two daughters had spent pre- cious time with her in her last hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Monday Dec. 14th at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, First and Church Streets. The Rev. Robert Greiner will celebrate the Mass. There will be a reception afterward in the Parish Hall of St. Francis. Pam was born on April 3, 1948 at Twin Falls Idaho to Ople and Betty Lou Rambo. She joined an old- er sister Linda and brother Arlie J. “Buzz” Rambo. After her elementary years, her family moved to Baker where she graduated in 1965 from BHS. Baker is where she met the love of her life, Stan Resnik. He was the handsome man with baby blue eyes in the Air Force who was stationed here from New York. They had been married for 35 wonderful years at the time of Stan’s passing in 2002. They had two daughters, Denise and Ashly. These four were a very close family and treasured family time whether it was playing board games, going for a drive, camping, fi shing, or just plain being together. Throughout Pam’s working years, she was a bookkeeper at Basche- Sage Place, Democrat Herald, Levinger’s Rexall Drug and fi nally Cenex Co-Op Supply until the business closed. She was a very organized person and everything had its place. She took pride in her work and it showed. Her work ethic was impeccable. Some hobbies Pam enjoyed were ones that sparked her creativity in ways unimaginable. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and had made some beautiful afghans and warm slippers for all family members. She also enjoyed cross-stitching, ceramics, reading and playing pinochle. Pam was very giving with her creations, as she made and gave many special hand- made gifts to the special people in her life. She also loved to decorate her house for the holidays. She was known to decorate an extravagant Christmas tree which was always differ- ent from the previous year. Her family looked forward to seeing the tree in all its beautiful glory that Pam had decorated for the Christmas season. Pam will be remem- bered for her intelligence, loving and caring personal- ity, quick wit, and most of all what her family meant to her. Whenever anyone needed an ear or a shoulder to lean on she was there and without judgment to listen and be there. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. Preceded in death were her husband Stanley Resnik, her parents, and sister. Survivors include her brother Buzz Rambo, daughters Denise Foley (Jon), and Ashly Pearce (Jake), grandchildren Alexis, Patrick and Deidre Foley; Draven and Paige Pearce and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Jon Schott and his team and all the wonderful caregivers that had a hand in caring for mom in her times of need. .. You all are amazing at what you do and we thank you.
