PAGE TWO ROGUE NEWS FRI., MAY 29, 1P64 Letters to the Editor WHY NOT SUPPORT I BASEBALL? Dear Madam: Why not come to baseball games? The turnout by the Ash land High School students for baseball games absolutely stinks! My past two years as part of the baseball team have proven to me that the kids in our school, with all their school spirit and enthusiasm, have very little en thusiasm or even school support when it comes to the spring sports. I will say we have some (but very few) loyal supporters who make it to the game for maybe a couple of innings. Why can not the students in our school support the baseball team as they do the football team or basketball team? The baseball team has won games this year and in proportion to the football and basketball teams is doing much better. The games do not cost anything so why not come and support your baseball teams in years to come? Dave Barger NEWSPAPER LAUDED Dear Miss Tilford: Kathy. you have done an ex cellent job as editor of our school newspaper in making it success ful. When you graduate this spring we will be losing a great and important asset for the Rogue News. The newspaper is well-organized and published in a pattern which makes it more interesting. The only fault in the paper is that there should be an extra column or space printed for the latest fads and fashions such as there was last year which was done by Linda Weber. Another fault is that the paper in pu blished so few times during the year that a person almost for- ets the paper is ever published. The Rogue News would hold the interest of the students, even Provost's FURNITURE RUGS CARPETS LAMPS DESKS Serviag Ashlaad For Over 50 Years . more so, if it were published at least once a month. Sincerely, Candy McMonigal Editor's Note: Until April the ROGUE NEWS was published every three weeks. Lack of funds made it necessary to cut out three issues. We would publish more often if the bud get were available.) MORE CLASS MEETINGS? Dear Madam: Through the years there has been very few class meetings. Very few people ever know what is going on in the class until it is going to happen. Also the few meetings we have had seemed to be so disorganized. I feel that if there were more meetings they wouldn't have to try and tell us what to do in such a short time and maybe it would be more organized and every one would get more out of the meetings.
