Now in their 22nd season, Triangle forgoes the holiday show this year for the hit off-Broadway tale o f would-be theater legends Ben and James, who are convinced they’ve written the musical o f all time— every time, in fact. There are a few logistical issues, however: the bud get— all $83 million of it (give or take), a 12-hour running length, a cast o f more than 300 spanning figures from Adam and Eve through Eva Braun... you get the larger-than-life drift. As the duo scurry about the stage to convince potential hackers to invest in their epic passion project, they attempt to sell the audience as well. The Big Bang's pitch-turned-play is a recipe for mayhem, with just two guys, a piano and more props than you can count. (Have we mentioned the setting, a proctologist’s posh digs?) The Northwest premiere stars Benjamin Sheppard and James Shar- inghousen as our ambitious historical revisionists, in a meta-musical that gives creationism a whole new meaning.
