pride2011 OREGON'S LGBTO NEWSMAGAZINE JUNE 3. 2011 P3JW Season’s Greetings Just Out welcomes you to a summer of Pride MARTY DAVIS grow communities. Pride. Merriam-Webster defines it as, among They put the Pride in every season, and in other things, “the quality or state o f being these pages. With that—wait for it— in mind, read on Tried-and-true Merriam goes on to list for profiles, previews and pretty much any “examples” o f Pride, though in our humble thing else you can think o f when you think o f opinion, none quite so fine as the folks in our Pride. And since we’re still a couple of weeks community— folks who turned out en masse out from the waterfront festivities, parade, one recent rainy Sunday to hold hands in block parties and citywide celebration, visit solidarity, folks who came out to their fami justout.com often and pick up the June 17 lies and congregations, folks who walk out on edition for entertainment schedules and news stage every Sunday to entertain fans and from Pride Northwest (T B D as o f press time), late-breaking events (TBA , always) newcomers alike. Folks who kick, folks who cook, folks and much, much more (O M G !). who croon— lots o f folks who croon. Film Yes, you’re an “impressive group,” indeed— makers and musicians, activists young and with so much Pride, so little time. ‘Tis the seasoned. Gallery owners and artists.
