All rebates limited to strxk on hand This year, as you watch different groups march past you in the Pride parade, you might say to yourself, “Gee, Portland has a lot of gay nonprofits.” And youd be right. You might also ask, “W hy are all these groups necessary? Don’t they do the same thing?” Then, you wouldn’t be right, at least not entirely. Take two prominent groups, Basic Rights Oregon and the Human Rights Campaign. They both fight for equality. They both are involved politically. They both shorten their names to three-letter acronyms (BRO and HRC).To an outsider, they look pretty simi lar. But when you understand how they work, you see the differences between them are pretty big.
