In addition, the collective will present a full-length performance of its own, dubbed Inspired Transcendence, later this month. The performance features original contemporary dance pieces by five members of the collective, interspersed with musical inter ludes by local electro/indie band Ilima Considine and the Sexbots. Inspired Transcendence marks dancer Timothy Johnson’s first performance with PDX Dance Collective. Recently relocated from Houston, where he danced with a number o f professional companies, Johnson is excited to be a member o f the Portland collective, which presented its first show last fall.
