The collection wa curated by Anat Nir,
a que r event planner from Tel Aviv. It pre,
miere<l Aug. 2 in Tel Aviv along with a le bo,
centric art exhibiti n that combined vide ,
performance art, painting and photography.

White Bird Commissions New Work from Trio of Local Choreograph
Native Oregonian Gregg Bielemeier ha been
dancing for 38 of hi 58 years, with more than
half of hi dance career spent in Portland.
But tho e new to the Ro e City or its dance
scene might not have een his choreography-
which colleagues and critics describe a witty and
inventive-becau e he has kept a low profile for
the past several years.
After producing a full,evening work called Poo-
dle Farm in 2002, Bielemeier swore he would never
again self-produce a concert dance performance.
He ay : "rm not a multitasker, and it ju t makes
me crazy. When f get crazy, the people around me

get crazy, and I don t like to promote crazy. 11
True to hi word, from then on Bielemeier put
hi creative energy into making work fo r other
companie . Hi choreography was performed in

Polari Dance Theatre 2006 how, Too Blue,
and thi year by The PC, the Northwe t Profe -
ional Dance Projece company.

ner and Daniel Kirk, director of kinner/Kirk
