His new T-shirt design company, Urban Humanity, was horn out of his past work in the nonprofit and business sector. Boyd served as communications coordinator for Basic Rights Oregon from 2006 to 2007 and works for Rain Agency, an advertising firm in Northwest Portland. He started his first design business at the age of 19. “This is always something that was in the back of my mind. I wanted to create clothes that not only 1 would wear but that the community would love to wear,” said Boyd. “When you put these T-shirts on, you look in the minor and say, ‘I look damn good.’ ” Boyd and his business ner, part Brandon Berg, want their clothing to rep resent the Pa cific Northwest, from the images on the items to said Quarry. The couple were a little nervous about how Scappoose residents would respond to lesbian partners owning the bed and breakfast; however, people have been really accepting. “We are just known as the girls at the inn.
