Their latest release, The Con, is out now. It is adolescence, all grown up. Beginning at the young age of 19, Tegan and Sara Quin have grown up fast and hard, just like many of us. These queer Canadian twins first made their mark with their 1999 debut, Under Our Feet, and have been received well by their peers ever since. After proving themselves with later releases like This Business of Art and So Jealous, they are now showing the wisdom of experience. These days, things like relationships, death and the world have all been on their minds. They haven’t had apartments or vacations in eight years. Their grandmother passed away while on a recent tour. They’re the big kids now, with big things to talk about. “We recorded our first record when we were 17 and 18. Our lives have developed. We’ve toured around the world, had out relationships. We’ve grown. Our playing has gotten a lot stronger. This one definitely feels it’s more mature work—and much more of us,” says Tegan, on behalf of them both. Of course, for many worldly wanderers, Portland is a natural place to record the Meet CeeCee - AKC Champion and Survivor. ceCcc, our 1-year-old Bearded Collie, came to Northwest Veterinary Specialists near death. She had been referred by our regular vet in Eugene. After NWVS ran tests, we discovered that —>Cee had severe heart and immune system problems. NWVS doctors administered treatment. Once healthy again, Cee went on to finish her AKC championship. But on her third birthday she was stricken with further health problems. She became lethargic, refused to eat, had pale gums - something 1 definitely was amiss and by the next day we were at NWVS. This time her immune system was attacking her * red blood cells and platelets. And, again, NWVS saved her life. Today at age 6, Cee is happy and healthy! * Thanks to NWVS she is a living, barkin’ miracle!" fl — CceCec’s Owners: Marry & Joanne Johnson, Eugene, Oregon * ÍÍ 24/7 VETERINARY SERVICE (.Call 503-656-3999 •j 24/7 Emergency Service & Critical Care Internal Medicine • Oncology • Ophthalmology • Neurology • Surgery Providing Speciality Veterinary Care at the Highest Level NWVS Northwest Veterinary Specialists
