Although reaching two decades is usually a momen tous occasion, the choir’s anniversary is made more significant by the fact that the group nearly didn’t survive to celebrate the milestone. Ten years ago, the choir was going strong, with upward of 60 members. Over time, those numbers dwin dled. By spring 2005, just a handful of members remained. To make matters worse, the group lost its director and changed its long-standing rehearsal night.
