FEBRUARY 2. 2007 iustiout 37 eatingout eatingout eatingout eatingout Hat Trick Party on and on and on H| ats off to Pat Jeung, who threw a hofto hash to celebrate the I Oth anniversary of his eastside restaurant and lounge, Chameleon. Actually, if was hats on: So many friends and fans of the eatery turned out for the annual Hat Party that, by the time I arrived at 10 p.m., rhe mid-sized lounge was packed with beautiful people. Among them were the ravishing Roz Gorski and Jennifer Jackson, partying hard with friend Paula Nirschl. Roz and Jennifer have been togeth er for four years. They fell in love in Little Rock, Ark., where Roz lived before being swept away by her honey-haired honey. Alan Luong was there wearing a bright peach-colored ’70s-style silk shirt that Cliff King gave him. 1 loved it so much 1 want ed to take it right off his back. (OK, and to see Alan shirtless.) Someone else I would have liked to have seen shirtless was dishy Dirk Foley, who spent the holiday mushing sled dogs over 22 miles of snow outside Pray, Mont., with his mother as the back seat driver of the two-person sled. And my fantasies won’t be complete until I see sexy Sam Morgan shirtless—although he did let me rub his shaved head for good luck. No good soiree is complete without music, and Chameleon had an excellent serving. Making my way across the dance fkxir 1 saw Kevin Gervais spill coffee on Michael Cruz as they boogied. Later, I saw Kevin making out on the couch with the deli cious David Krause, who he’s been seeing since November. I also saw Kevin Gienty outside the restaurant making out with Kyle Nesbitt. Kevin reports that he’s ‘TOO percent recovered and back on the market” after a ladder broke under him while cleaning the gutters of his little brother’s house. The fall landed Kevin in the hospital, where he developed infections that threatened his life. After being told that he might lose both legs, Kevin refused to give up and spent the past two years rehabilitating himself. If he’s ready to put some spice in his step, he should head to Boxxes and the Red Cap Garage. Cory Murphy, director of promotions at the dance complex, has turned Friday nights into a multi cultural experience by programming hip-hop at Red Cap and Latin music at Boxxes. Cory was at Chameleon with Boxxes manager John Guidone. Finally, Gary Hopping, the Paris Hilton of Portland, brought five hot guys from L.A. to the Out Going BY FLOYD SKLAVER party with him. When I asked how he had such beautiful men around, he said, “My life is like a reality show.” Speaking of reality shows, Brian Wilson and Ramesh Manickam came over the other night to watch the second episode of Grease: You’re the One That I Want. Grease is one of the most popular musicals in high schools across the country despite its message that the best way to get a guy is to be a slut. (Hey, it works, doesn’t it?) I can’t get enough of the show, and you’ll find me plunked on my couch every Sunday night until the very end. Another place you’ll find me regularly is Salon Q, a gathering of gay (and one or two lesbian) professionals on the second Tuesday night of each month. In January I went armed with my notepad and asked attendees what they did for New Year’s Eve. Oregon Ballet Theatre’s Christopher Stowell went to San Francisco to visit Joe D’Alessandro and David Jones in their fabulous Castro apartment overkxiking the city. Portland City Commissioner Sam Adams went, too. Kevin Mork and Jerome Guillen went to Madrid. Nathan Sandall said he got his “ass handed to me” in a night of board games with friends. On the other end of the spectrum, Mark Luedtke and Socrates Jimenez spent a quiet night together. They recently cele brated their first anniversary by opening a joint checking account. “His eyes caught me from across the room,” said Socrates. Seeing as they met at C.C. Slaughters, 1 wonder if Mark was dressed as a slut to capture the guy. Or, perhaps, he was just Out Going. © Treatjour sweetie like Mama would. Take 'em to... — .7/ie .Jlatían Joint .
