In order to celebrate the middle of the year’s dark season and the earth’s preparation for rebirth and regeneration, attendees can participate in ritu als, browse and purchase vendor goods and an on site art gallery, groove to the Celtic beat of musician Heather Alexander, attend musically focused work shops and participate in bardic and drum circles. Raised in a pagan community that included family members on both sides who participated in what FireFox refers to as “family tradition” witch craft, the energetic writer lived an “intense exis tence” as a child, going without television, tele phone, electricity, running water or easy access to roads during the winter. FireFox s experience living close to nature helped fuel her with a desire to help others step fully into their power; she was ordained as a pagan clergy member at the age of 29. Living in rural northern California with her partner and their two children, she is giving serious thought to relocating to Seattle, where she has found a “very well-established, sex-positive com munity that is incredibly supportive” of her work.
