Call on one o f Palm Springs most trusted Realtors An unusually hot, summery day in April welcomed nearly 100 friends and family to wit ness the marriage of Sarah Ross (left) and Lana Duran on April 10 at Oaks Pioneer Church in historic Sellwood. The couple reside in Southeast Portland with their daughter, Jordan. Both Ross and Duran are active members of the Rose City Softhall Association and the Friday night FITS bowling league. After softball season ends, their honeymoon will he celebrated in late July as a family vacation to Lake Tahoe. Special mention to all the following for their help in making this day so special: Jimmy, Dan, Sophia, Abigail, Laura and Diana, David and Joe, Heather, Lyn and Robin, Debbie, Misty, Tami and Donna, Jenny, Kayla, Sisha and every one who celebrated and continues to celebrate in this joyous, and truly exceptional, occasion. “ Shared between two people who love each other, and who intend to spend the rest of their lives together, the bonds of matrimony, cher ished and adored, were entered into on this day, with only the greatest respect for the sanctity that is marriage and LOVE.” After officiating 215 same-sex marriages in Portland, the Revs. Casey (left) and Berdell Moffett-Chaney were legally married on the morning of their 21st anniversary, May 1, in Victoria, British Columbia, by the Rev. Pat Zogar of the Positive Living Centre. The couple settled their plans to marry in Canada last July, when British Columbia legal ized same-sex marriage. When Multnomah County began issuing licenses, they chose to spend that time in service to other couples. The Moffett-Chaneys enjoyed a “ mooney- hon” (honeymoon before the wedding) by taking a cruise from Los Angeles that docked in Victoria on the morning of May 1. They were met at the dock by friends and family, married at Beacon Hill Park in the midst of sunshine and flora, and enjoyed lunch at Milestone’s and time with their guests before reboarding the ship for the remainder of their cruise. Their reception was held May 8 in Portland.
