The region’s biggest event is Seattle Pride, which will be held June 26 and 27. T h e them e is “i-scream PRID E!” “T h e ice cream adds a lot of fun to the event— youth- fulness that we can all remember from our child hood,” says Melissa H o l loway, Seattle Pride co-chair woman. “In our current political climate, ‘1 scream’ is a statem ent about making yourself heard, being proud of who you are and standing up for your rights as part of this world. We are encouraging everyone to scream PRID E.” T h e Seattle Pride March will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 27.
