ove Makes a Family, a nonprofit agency that
offers advocacy, education and referrals for
queer parents and caregivers, needs help as it
gears up for its third annual auction next month
at Darcelle XV.
Organizers are asking for any assistance, auc-
tionahle product or service that donors can pro
vide. Last year’s event brought in $5,000, and
this year’s goal is $12,000.
The proceeds will benefit two Love Makes a
Family programs. The Middle Schtxils Project
ensures that alternative families feel safe within
the public schcxil system, and MultiQueer advo
cates for the empowerment of gay, lesbian, hi,
trans and questioning youth of color.
