The hoard of Pride Northwest has picked the theme for Port land Pride 2003— and the winner is “Lions and Tigers and Queers, Oh My!” Here a few other salient facts you’ll need for your summer planning purposes. The festivities will he held the second weekend in June rather than the traditional third. Although the sched ule is a long way from being finalized, it safely can he noted that the waterfront festival will be June 14 and 15, with the big Judy Garland love- fest parade marching through the streets of downtown June 15. Once again the parade falls on Father’s Day, so your best bet is to take Dad to breakfast, then plop the family down on Broadway and wait for the PFLAG contingent to come along. And if Daddy already happens to be marching with the Portland Leather Alliance, well, then, all the better. Pride Northwest has many new faces on the board this year. Returning to lead the pack ofifi- daily as board chairman is Jack Keegan.
