Derrick Foxworth was promoted May 17 to the rank of assistant chief. He replaces Mark Paresi, who soon will lead the North Las Vegas Police Department. As part of his duties Foxworth will serve as the bureau’s liaison to the Sexual Minorities Roundtable. Co-chairman Christopher Webster praised the appointment. “Cmdr. Foxworth certainly has his work cut out for him, and 1 know that he is up for the job,” he said. “1 look forward to working with him.” Roundtable co-chairman Norm Costa added: “1 have interacted with Cmdr.
