The theme of the gathering is “Eliminating Bias Crimes: Healing Our Communi ties,” and participants will have a unique opportunity to learn about the subject. The conference will kick off on a powerful note during the opening night dinner with keynote speaker Judy Shep ard. Her son, Matthew, was the young college student killed in the Wyoming incident that became the catalyst for the increasingly strong drive to elimi nate bias crimes.
