It’s a new day at Cascade AIDS Project,
the leading community-based HIV organi
zation in Oregon and Southwest Washing
ton. We have new leadership, financial
health, business strength, marketing savvy
and strategic plans for programs and ser
vices. A recent reorganization, newly cre
ated positions and anticipated departures
create an exceptional opportunity to join
our staff and team.
RESPONSIBILITIES: C onduct HIV
outreach and education with Gay and
Bisexual African American and Latino
men. Coordinate outreach in public sex
environments, bars and other community
venues. Position involoves risk assessments,
harm reduction education and referral.
Conduct community outreach, education
and advocacy to increase access for men
who have sex w ith men o f color to
resources, information and services.
REQUIREMENTS: Two or more years
work in public health/education/social ser-
vice/related field or bachelors degree in a
related field, computer proficiency with MS
Office, good communication and interper
sonal skills, experience working with
diverse and disenfranchised populations,
primarily gay and bisexual men and com
munities of color. Previous work experience
with HIV and bilingual Spanish skills p e -
ferred.
COM PENSATION: Part-time salary
range from $10,500 to $12,500, depending
on qualifications and experience. Employer
paid health, dental, long-term disability and
life insurance, generous vacation, tax-
deferred annuity plan and option of a flex
time schedule.
