Known for their biting humor, as in A Kinder and Gentler Nation, or their all out celebration of being gay as in The Queer Song, Two Nice Girls will keep you danc ing. Opening the show will be Portland’s own Mothers of God. Tickets are $10 in advance and available at Ladd’s Editions, It’s My Pleasure and Fastixx outlets including Music Millennium. The theater is wheelchair accessible and this event is smoke-free. "The fact that you can throw these various musical styles together in one show and still have cohesion really makes the point,” Cabarock’s creator and front man Danno says. “Our society is made up of many diverse elements. They can coexist. They can make a whole. This show makes perfect sense as a benefit for No On Hate.” Rainmakers v M open with a set of original folk-rock music. With three songwriters/lead vocalists-Lupe Weitzer, Amy Spreadborough and Kent Dolan-the band’s music ranges from soft rock/folk ballads to driving rock and roll. Rain makers also features drummer Maya Eagleton and Jeffrey Kirsch on saxophone and percussion. Tickets are sliding scale, $10 and up and may be subject to a service charge. Escape from the Living Perverts Last November, the horror began with “Night of the Living Perverts.”Then, unexpectedly, Feb ruary saw the nail-biting “Return of the Living Perverts.” The two fundraisers raised over $2,100 to fight the nationally recognized hate group, and living perverts, the Oregon Citizens Alliance! Now comes the “Escape From the Living Per A musical act of diversity verts.” Two spectacular shows featuring a fabulous Help No On Hate fight the Oregon Citizens Alliance’s "No Special Rights” initiative at a live evening of music, comedy, erotica, dance, and musical benefit, Sunday, May 24 at Triangle theatrics, with several performers still commit ting, the talented lineup includes: hot dancer Paul Productions/Theatre Paris. The evening will feature “Cabarock: A Musi Irvin, singer and songwriter Maria Webster, blues cal Act of Diversity.” Part cabaret show and part star Rhonda Kennedy, actor and comedian Andy Mangels, fan-dancer Reba Rainwater, the incom parable Darcelle XV, K. T. Chase and Kevin Koesel, Appalachian fiddle player Don Minnerly, pianist and composer Mike Seyfrit, naughty storybook lady Bonnie, dancer Pattie Benson, and singer Gregory Franklin. Oregon Deputy District Attorney David Allen, a hit speaker at “Return,” will be back to share his OCA horror stories.
