"Look to the Future" Saturday June 16 elebrate Oregon’s largest Lesbian and Gay Pride event at a new location and bring your walking shoes. This year’s Lesbian and Gay Pride March, Saturday, June 16. will be longer than ever at 1.1 mile. Formation will be in the North Park Blocks. The march steps off at noon. The rally site is at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, in the bowl south of the Hawthorne Bridge and below the Marriott Hotel, from approximately 1 to 6 pm. Headlining the rally will be our guest speaker Karin Schwartz, public affairs officer for the National Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). She will address gay and lesbian community empowerment in the ’90s and will be featured in a roundtable discussion on anti-gay violence and community networking on Monday evening, June 18.
