After creating some of the most exciting
dance in the United States, the Wallflower
Order Dance Collective formed The
Dance Brigade. Led by founding member
of the Wallflower Order, Krissy Keefer, and
nine-year member of the company, Nina
Fichter, The Dance Brigade continues in
the Wallflower tradition of creating
eclectic dance form that moves from a
sound foundation in classical and mod
em dance technique to incorporate such
stylistic influences as the Martial Arts, Sign
Language, theatre and comedy. Primary
to the work of the company is their ability
to give expression to some of the most
challenging social conditions and move
ments of the day. Because of the popular
nature of their dance style and thematic
content, the company's performances
appeal to a very broad audience and to
sectors of the general population that do
not ordinarily attend dance concerts.
