WKST SHOltK. reins over one hill after mother, clear way op into the farthest mountain. The rock in which the rkheet lilver Ilea ia princi pelly porpbyty, although there are rich reins of Ulcoe si ,t. oo the left or aonth aide of the crek there U hardly a tingle joint hut ahowa up rich indications of silver. It ia on thti tide that the relief and Quandary rlairns are situated, an 1 are the rirhett by fir of an that have Uen located. On the north aide , however, there are one or two text holes, among a nam t, that are exceeding! promising. None of these holes lave xrti pot in ovrr twenty feet, and it is foond that the farther thy go in, the better the And. There ia a pilch that cornea Jon about a mile above the camp, and it U thought by some of th prospectors that, from the indication) an I cropping, here will be a big surprim. l'.ut there ia no point in this whole ttrctchof seven miles in length and probably eight in wid'h, but where good ore ran be found. It is free milling and carries ith it nothing that can possibly make it expensive to get the silver out. I noticed in the river bottom a number of sluices and panning outfits, where men have been working placer claims, and I am to! J by some of them that they ran pan out from seven to eight dollars a day, and some days hare done Mtrr. Above, (hwe to Kdgar rock, some one is at work on a plai-rr claim, and is exceedingly mysterious aWit what he does and his done. Here the gravel and sand is plte fine, and there is no doubt that he is making a good deal more than a fair day 'a wages. In the bottom, at the edge of a beautiful grassy glade, Cap tain J. T. Simmons has made a jiermanent mining ramp, with K. K. Current as recorder. They are now at work putting op lg cabins in order to stand out the winter and operatt on the claims whenever the westher will permit. There are over 100 claims now staked and located, and it ia fully eijetd that ovrr 1,000 men will t in there at work when spring opt-na up. lo anticipation of this, Mr. Current baa located a townaite on a high bench land that runs all along the north side of the valley. The ore, from the returna of the aasayers, Is on the average of an I SO ore, and there ia no end to the amount of it in sight. Ten miles above ramp the Humping river flows into the Natcheei, and at thia point, on the other aide of the bluff, there ae several holes where coal of a fine oulity has ken taken out, some of which we burned In camp. As to the quality of it, we can not say. Suffice It to aay that there are enough go"d indications to make it worth the while for some one t proji t it this point and alao farther up the Humping river.-.. 1trlvn in Almira lUcord.
