The special election held Friday af

local high school be continued or whe
ther the pupils attend the Medford
high school, resulted in a vote of 43 to
5 in favor of reopening the Jackson
ville school. The school board has re
cently received applications for posi
tions from four high school teachers
and the mittir of securing teachers
which was a factor in closing the
school can now be satisfactorily arr
anged. About 18 pupils are attending
Medford high and are taking s;>e:i il
courses at that institution.
