Geerge and Chester Wendt were at Medford Tuesday evening practicing with the band which will play at the Elks big barbecue and fish bake which will be held on the lodge’ picnic grounds at Rogue River tomorrow. Mark Montgomery, agent at the Southern Pacific depot in Medford, listened to several of the speeches at the mass meeting Wednesday night. Mrs. Brown of Dunsmuir and daugh ter, Geraldine Stansell, spent Monday with Miss Issie VcCully. Mrs Brown formerly lived in Jacksonville for a number of years. Misses Pauline Greaves and Alice Morgan spent Friday evening in Jack sonville, the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Saulsberry. Some time ago a flat car of the Jacksonville railroad wa3 wrecked on the side track between Sixth street and the Medford Fruit Co. building where it was left and has been an eyesore ever since. Complaint was made before Justice Taylor today ag ainst J. T. Gagnon, owner of the rail road in an effort to compel him ¿a have the car removed.-Tribune.
