This was the first contingent of re'urning troops to land at Philadelphia. Many members of the Medford Seventh company were in the 65th. The editor of the Post ha3 received from Congresrman W. C. Hawley, a copy of a bill which he has introduced authorizing the Secretary of War to donate to the City of Jacksonville, one German cannon. W. B. Sargent is writing a series of articles on military subject«, for publication in the North American Review.
